As an Amazon Field Engineer, you will provide full lifecycle support to AWS Data Centers from design to maintenance, enabling scalable, reliable infrastructure. You will lead regional engineering efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and safety standards. You’ll tackle design reviews, RCA-driven fixes, and upgrade concepts that boost capacity and efficiency. This role combines field presence with design influence to sustain hyper-scale data centers and evolving requirements. You’ll be part of a diverse, inclusive team that empowers ownership and continuous improvement.
Retribuzione / Benefits
- Review design and equipment submittals for new data centers in the region
- Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and document corrective actions for failures
- Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and procedure reviews
- Own conceptual design for upgrades to increase capacity, availability, and efficiency
- Coordinate with operations, design engineering, server hardware, and HSE teams to uphold standards
- Manage concurrent projects across multiple regions
- Initiate and lead engineering audits with on-site visits and risk mitigations
- Serve as resident engineer during new construction, supporting commissioning and turnover
Responsabilità
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with mission critical facilities engineering (data centers, power generation, oil & gas facilities)
- Business-level fluency in written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel between data center sites and internationally if required
