Job Description
As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of Eniquantic. Working alongside a team of physicists and engineers, you will contribute to the development of a quantum computer based on neutral atoms. Specifically, you will design and develop high‑precision mechanical and opto‑mechanical components and mechanical housings, ranging from small parts such as holders for optics and micro‑optics to complete mechanical housings for laser beam distribution setups.
Main Activities
* Design of custom opto‑mechanical holders for specialized optics, such as lenses, mirrors, prisms, crystals and micro‑optics
* Design of mechanical parts for the vacuum apparatus and the assembly of the experimental setup
* Design of mechanical housings with high mechanical stability and reliability for laser beam distribution setups
* Simulation and analysis of mechanical and thermal stresses on mechanical components
* Collaboration and discussion of technical specifications with suppliers and mechanical workshops
Required Features
* Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Up to three years of experience in the design and development of mechanical and opto‑mechanical components
* Experience with mechanical and thermal stress simulation software, such as COMSOL Multiphysics
* In‑depth knowledge of 3D CAD software for mechanical design, such as Autodesk Inventor
* Intermediate level of English
Nice‑to‑have Requirements
* Experience integrating simulated optical paths into drawings of mechanical housings
* Experience in manufacturing components using 3D printing technologies
* Ability to work autonomously and proactively within multidisciplinary teams
