As the Site Leader/Senior Operations Manager in a fast‑paced and challenging environment, you’ll be the person who knows your area of the business inside out. You’ll own the operational metrics and set the strategy for your area of the business to deliver for our customers and ultimately grow our operations. Spending lots of time on site will help you develop your team and collaborate on operational planning. This role has two sides. You’ll manage and motivate a team of leaders while focusing on long‑term objectives. This includes creating contingency plans to keep operations running and mitigate against disruptions and driving initiatives that boost quality, safety and productivity. You’ll be a source of accountability and a business‑wide champion of best practice.About the TeamCustomer Fulfilment, or CF, is where it all started for Amazon. The team is the foundation of our business and its efforts have helped us diversify across new regions and services.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environmentPrior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniquesPrior experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminationPreferred QualificationsDegree in Engineering, Operations or related field and MBA preferredExperience with a contingent workforce during peak seasonsAbility to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situationsInterest in long‑term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nationAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
