The POWER ARCHITECT is a key role within the Application Engineering Team and the Strategic Accounts Sales Team, serving as the leader for power train solutions, including medium and low voltage switchgear, UPS, STS / PDU, RPP / Busway, and high-density applications. The role involves influencing solution design for assigned accounts and contributing to market share growth and customer wins within the segment. This position is vital for the EMEA Power Engineering team and Strategic Accounts organization, with accountability for the entire Power portfolio order targets for the assigned accounts. The POWER ARCHITECT will lead a multidisciplinary team and hold accountability for technical support and commercial strategies on all Power products, supported by Key Account Directors and Application Engineers to meet customer needs through a balanced relationship and technical support structure. Ideal candidates will have strong technical sales experience, a proven industry track record, and a well-established network with top clients in EMEA, with strong links to global product and engineering teams. Commercial acumen and the ability to build internal and external networks are essential. Effective communication skills are vital for coordinating between business units and demonstrating Vertiv’s full capabilities to senior management and clients. The role emphasizes strategic account sales as a significant revenue stream, requiring a highly competent, energetic, and ambitious individual. Role Responsibilities: Provide technical support and training to strategic customers and sales teams for Power products and solutions. Assist sales with pre-sales technical support for proposals, quotes, and tenders. Offer technical expertise for projects with strategic customers, collaborating with sales and technical teams. Develop technically and price-competitive applications for Power products to meet specific customer needs. Organize and host events and workshops to showcase Vertiv products and technologies. Work with consultants to develop effective solutions and influence RFQ processes. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Manage projects during OTO including FAT support. Collaborate with consultants to develop solutions for Colo and hyperscale accounts. Specialize in Switchgear, Large Power Converters, STS / PDU, RPP / Busway, High Density Applications, Grid Applications, and Sustainability. Drive growth in Power sales and profitability, securing Vertiv as the preferred partner. Manage a diverse customer portfolio, building relationships with top EMEA clients and securing a healthy pipeline. Coordinate with sales teams to support bids and commercial positioning. Qualifications and Experience: Engineering background or equivalent with proven field experience. Extensive experience in selecting and installing AC Power products, especially in Data Centers or similar industries. Willing to travel approximately 30%. Core Competencies: Customer-focused with practical experience in AC power train products. Proactive, disciplined, and able to prioritize long-term and short-term goals. Excellent organizational skills, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
