As a Senior Automation Systems Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and optimization of automated diagnostic systems across our diagnostics industry clients. This involves working closely with laboratory staff, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that automation solutions meet the needs of the diagnostics processes and enhance overall laboratory efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implementation and Support:
* Assist in the installation, configuration, and validation of automated diagnostic systems ensuring seamless integration with existing laboratory workflows.
* Provide on-site and remote support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment.
2. Customer Training and Education:
* Conduct training sessions for laboratory staff and customers on the use and maintenance of automation systems providing detailed documentation and guides.
* Develop user-friendly training materials to support users' proficiency in operating and troubleshooting automation equipment.
3. Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
* Analyze laboratory workflows to identify opportunities for process improvements through automation collaborating with customers to optimize system performance.
* Implement changes and enhancements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Technical Expertise:
* Serve as a subject matter expert on automation technologies and applications in diagnostics sharing knowledge with internal teams and customers.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation and diagnostic technologies applying this expertise to drive innovation.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
* Ensure all automation solutions comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements including FDA and ISO guidelines.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance implementing rigorous quality control processes.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, R&D, and customer support to ensure successful project outcomes.
* Communicate project status challenges and solutions to stakeholders fostering strong relationships with customers and partners.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate records of installation configuration and support activities providing detailed reports on project progress system performance and customer feedback.
* Document best practices and lessons learned for future reference.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automation systems particularly in diagnostics or laboratory environments.
* Strong technical skills and experience with automated diagnostic systems and laboratory equipment.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools used in automation and diagnostics.
* Fluency in English Italian and a second EU language Spanish German or French.
Working Conditions:
