Reporting to the Head of the Green Power and Assets Business Unit, the Construction Engineer is involved in the preparation of Work Requisitions (both in proposal and execution phases), scouting potential construction subcontractors, schedule preparation, and optimization of construction sequences.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare Work Requisitions (WR) for construction works, site offices, and site camps.
* Evaluate received offers.
* Prepare construction schedules (both in proposal and execution).
* Explore the market to identify potential subcontractors in the country.
* Conduct constructability analysis and follow-up.
* Identify construction sequences to reduce schedule and costs.
* Identify alternative solutions for cable laying or overhead electrical lines considering underground or above-ground hindrances.
* Support the site team as needed.
* Participate in weekly construction meetings with clients and subcontractors.
* Support the Field Engineering Manager in defining alternative solutions for site criticalities.
* Assist the Project Control Manager in preparing progress data.
* Support the Subcontract Manager in defining new prices or evaluating work for subcontractors.
* Assist the Contract Manager in preparing change orders and claims.
* Prepare the Site Mechanical Book.
* Support the Operations and Maintenance department to ensure a smooth handover.
Experience
* Relevant experience in green power plants (solar, wind, H2, NH3 projects) and construction head office activities.
* Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as a Construction Specialist in EPC projects.
* The work is primarily head office-based, but site missions of up to 1 month may be required to resolve critical issues.
