The Buyer will work with the team to research, analyze and forecast current and future buying trends, markets, and products; develop and maintain commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure satisfactory purchasing agreements reaching the best combination of quality, rates and services. /p h3Impact /h3 ul liSource fresh fruit and vegetables worldwide in line with expected target and in compliance with the company guidelines. /li liManage and build appropriate commercial relationships with suppliers to develop strategic partnerships. /li liAnalyze suppliers’ quotations and bids, verify product specifications and negotiate terms conditions. /li liEvaluate market trends, proactively suggest innovative solutions and products and use market research to strategically plan future purchases. /li liProduce analytics reports and maintain accurate records. /li liProactively work with Logistics and supply to achieve best possible procurement agreements. /li /ul h3Journey so far /h3 ul liPrevious experience in the role, minimum 3 years, ideally within the cruise sector. /li liDegree in Economics, Gastronomic Sciences, Procurement Management, Business Management (master’s degree in food and beverage management is a plus). /li /ul h3Essentials /h3 ul liExperience in the fresh produce category and comprehensive understanding of Food strategic sourcing and market trends. /li liGood Excel skills, knowledge of procurement e-platforms is an advantage. /li liExcellent knowledge of computer systems (knowledge of Crunchtime is an advantage). /li liStrong ability to analyze and interpret quotation data and logistics options. /li liVery good negotiating and communication skills. /li liFluent in English and Italian, any additional language is an advantage. /li liAbility to work as part of a team.Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. /li liAvailability to travel. /li /ul h3Commitment /h3 pWe are committed to building a future that values diverse perspectives, embraces the world beyond borders, and fosters an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued, respected and empowered to be their authentic selves.
