Solution Designer automation
As a Solution Designer, you will play a crucial role in the growth of our intralogistics automation business across EMEA. You will provide technical expertise and design support to the sales team, developing innovative and cost-effective solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers.
Tasks:
— Analyze customer needs thoroughly and create the right intralogistics automation solutions tailored to their specific requirements, considering factors like throughput, space, budget, and integration needs.
— Consult with customers and internal teams to design the optimal intralogistics solution, ensuring feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with customer objectives.
— Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop winning intralogistics automation solutions.
— Build and maintain strong relationships with technical contacts at customer sites and partner organizations to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
— Maintain an in-depth understanding of automated intralogistics solutions for pallets and bins, including AS/RS systems, AGVs/AMRs, shuttle solutions, conveyor technologies, picking systems, and their appropriate applications in different industries and warehouse environments.
— Analyze customer needs thoroughly and create the right intralogistics automation solutions tailored to their specific requirements, considering factors like throughput, space, budget, and integration needs.
— Consult with customers and internal teams to design the optimal intralogistics solution, ensuring feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with customer objectives.
— Support the sales team throughout the project sales cycle by providing technical expertise, developing compelling solution concepts, and creating impactful presentations.
— Coordinate technical details effectively with internal teams (engineering, project management, service) and external partners to ensure seamless solution delivery and successful project execution.
— Develop detailed technical documentation, including solution layouts, equipment specifications, and system architectures, to guide implementation and support future maintenance.
— Stay informed about the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in intralogistics automation to continuously improve our solutions and stay ahead of the competition.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Qualifications:
— Completed studies in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical), Logistics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
— Proven experience in solution design, system integration, or technical consulting within the automation or intralogistics industry.
— Strong network of contacts in the intralogistics automation market is a plus.
— In-depth understanding of automated intralogistics solutions for pallets and bins, including AS/RS systems, AGVs/AMRs, shuttle solutions, conveyor technologies, picking systems, and their appropriate applications in different industries and warehouse environments.
— Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess customer needs and develop optimal solutions.
— Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
— Proficiency in 3D layouting with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CET Designer) and simulation tools (sim3D, Plantsim).
— Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
— Willingness to travel within the region.
— Fluency in English, German is a plus.
