Job Title: Product Cost Engineer
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
1. Realize an estimation of the technical cost of the parts / systems defined by the engineering team
2. Support the engineering team in the development to cost way of working
3. Participate at the creation of the target cost
4. Support sourcing team in the negotiation with the suppliers

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance Measurement/KPI’s
10. Apply or develop a methodology to calculate the technical cost of a component/system along the product development cycle (from parametric to analytic methodology)
11. Apply or develop cost analysis method on the cost of a component/system
12. Purpose improvements of the design or manufacturing process to reduce the technical cost.
13. Promote the cost culture in the engineering team
14. Provide the cost breakdown of the component to the sourcing team (negotiation support)
Responsibilities
15. Based on the Specifications of a family of product : Create a cost model on a family of product Evaluate the technical cost of the component by using cost model approach
16. Based on the Design of the component : Take assumptions about the industrial processes Calculate the technical cost of the component by using the appropriated tool
17. Contribute to the improvement of the cost métier : To be a referent on a process or a family of product Share the feedback coming from the supplier Formalize the saving opportunities

Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
18. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
19. Good product knowledge
20. Good industrial Process knowledge
21. Curious

24. Good communication with other people
Nice to have
25. Previous experience in Railway domain
26. Able to use DMA/CATIA for basic work
27. Able to use SAP to extract costing information
28. Italian language fluency (written and spoken)
