About the Role: The Food Safety & Quality Product Design Ice Cream Manager will support the development of new ice cream products from a Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) perspective. The role involves ensuring FSQ principles are integrated into every stage of product development, from concept to launch, by designing and updating product specifications aligned across the global value chain. The manager will act as a key liaison between FSQ and other functions like R&D, Marketing, and the Global Brand Soremartec team, facilitating innovation while ensuring compliance and quality standards. The scope is global, covering branded products and supporting other industrial portfolios. Main Responsibilities: Write and maintain FSQ product specifications for the ice cream category, covering raw materials, process parameters, shelf life, sensory aspects, and final product characteristics. Lead continuous improvement of specifications using data from field operations, audits, and consumer feedback, engaging with Group FSQ Industrial & Supply. Support all stages of the product innovation pipeline, working closely with Technical Category R&D and other stakeholders to embed FSQ criteria from the start. Manage exceptions to specifications and act as a global contact for non-conformities or incidents. Participate in governance meetings to embed FSQ considerations in strategic decisions. Develop and manage KPIs and FSQ dashboards, providing insights at category and product levels. Coach and guide team members to promote FSQ awareness and safe practices. Who We Are Looking For: Degree in food science, technology, chemistry, or biology, with significant expertise in food safety, R&D, and industrial production. Deep understanding of ice cream processes and risks, capable of translating knowledge into precise FSQ specifications. Extensive experience in the food industry, managing complexity and leading confidently. Strong stakeholder interaction skills, balancing innovation with compliance. Proactive, organized, collaborative, and capable of leading global teams. Managerial experience in leading and developing teams. Fluent in English, open to international mobility and travel.
