Safety and Compliance Manager - Construction
The ideal candidate must possess an undergraduate degree in either Construction Management or a relevant Engineering discipline. A minimum of 8 years experience in Construction and Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry involving heavy construction sites with mechanical, electrical and piping installation is required.
* A thorough understanding of OSHA construction regulations and lockout requirements is necessary.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety protocols on site.
* In addition to ensuring a safe working environment, the Safety and Compliance Manager will also be responsible for organizing training activities and promoting a culture of health and safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and monitor the implementation of the Tecnimont HSE Policy and HSE Management System at site.
* Perform the Job Hazardous Analysis (JHA) and participate in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
* Evaluate the adequacy and application of the Site HSE Plan and all related procedures, preparing any revisions as necessary.
* Update the HSE documentation during all the construction phases when deemed necessary.
* Check that Subcontractors perform their activities in accordance with all the HSE applicable procedures, regulation and standards, promoting all necessary action to ensure that the said procedures and regulations are observed.
* Organize, plan and participate in periodical HSE walk around, Inspections and Audits on site, prepare all the relevant reports, action plans, verify the follow up and the timely execution of the corrective action.
* Organize, coordinate the HSE Training activities on site.
* Organize and participate in all relevant site HSE Meetings.
* Cookoperate with the Client concerning the issuing of any necessary work permits.
* Organize in case of work accidents a full investigation of the event, finalized to the identification of corrective measure to avoid reoccurrence.
* Keep accident records, identifying the areas to which prevention must be addressed.
* Promote indoctrination / training of personnel.
* Lead and coordinate the activities of the Site HSE Committee (composed by all Contractor and Subcontractors HSE Representative).
* Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/fighting team, organizingtraining and emergency drill mock activities.
* Prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report and other periodical report.
* Prepare and update the Site HSE Statistics, verify the performance versus the Project and corporate HSE Objective, Targets and performance indicators; propose recovery plan in case of mismatch.
