Job Responsibilities
* Perform critical activities within site ECN workflows to correctly source new purchased components from approved suppliers.
* Prepare and distribute RFQ’s, analyze quotes, select best total cost suppliers, and set up new parts in site ERP systems.
* Participate in identification, qualification, and development of new production suppliers.
* Participate in supplier meetings and occasional on-site supplier visits; limited overnight travel required.
* Plan, coordinate, and execute project plans under the direction of the SBM’s for implementation of on-boarding new suppliers, resourcing parts, or other objectives. Much of this must be done with close cooperation of the plant Buyers/Planners.
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with ESG Buyers/Planners, Engineering, Accounting, and suppliers; must be able to work effectively in teams as well as individually.
* Needs to be comfortable with taking directions from the SBM’s and also be self-directed for certain objectives.
* Participate in supplier problem solving.
* Must be fluent with contract terms and conditions and able to identify and negotiate away unfavorable terms.
* Perform other duties, assignments and special projects as required.
Education, Experience & Skills Required
* Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field required.
* 5-7 years of supply chain experience preferably in manufacturing environments.
* Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and to represent the company effectively and professionally in dealings with suppliers.
* Proficient with MS Office Programs and ERP/MRP systems; specific experience with JDE/Oracle, Syteline, and Epicore preferred.
* Ability to easily work with people at all levels of the organization, and to establish collaborative relationships with peers.
* Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Strong analytical, negotiating, follow-through, and accuracy skills are required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary Range – $75,000–$90,000
