Position: LCA & Sustainability Specialist
We seek a proactive and skilled LCA & Sustainability Specialist to join our Environmental & Energy Team, advancing sustainability goals at the product level. This role involves integrating environmental life-cycle assessment considerations into product design, promoting circular economy principles, sustainable material selection, and contributing to sustainable innovation.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting the organization in preparing for and implementing new regulations (e.g., ESPR) in product design workflows;
* Introducing sustainability concepts such as eco-design and design for circularity, aligned with standards like ISO 59000, ISO 14006;
* Managing product data (e.g., component weight, materials, recycled content) for LCA purposes;
* Conducting LCA studies to assess environmental impacts during product design;
* Supporting EPD and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) certification processes;
* Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., RoHS, WEEE, REACH, Batteries Regulation);
* Engaging with universities, research institutes, and industry groups to stay updated on sustainability trends.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Industrial Design, or related field;
* 1-2 years of experience in Life Cycle Assessment and related standards (ISO 14040/44, ISO 14067);
* Motivation to drive change and influence at all levels;
* Strong understanding of product data management, R&D, and product design processes;
* Knowledge of environmental and sustainability regulations and standards (e.g., EPD, CFP, ESPR, REACH, RoHs);
* Analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making;
* Experience in consumer electronics or related industries is a plus;
* Knowledge of sustainable materials, including biodegradable polymers, recycled materials, and low-impact chemicals;
* Fluency in English;
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
