Overview
Quest is an award-winning IT management software provider offering a broad selection of solutions that solve some of the most common and most challenging IT problems. There are a few shared service hubs globally, and Cyberjaya is one of the key finance and accounting competency centers. We are currently looking for an Accounting Advisor located in our Cyberjaya, Malaysia office.
The primary responsibilities include end-to-end accounting, particularly in the US region, covering payroll accounting, fixed assets, cash management, Opex accounting, intercompany transactions, etc.
Responsibilities
* Responsibilities include monthly accounting close and balance sheet reconciliations. Monthly accounting close involves preparing and posting journal entries, analyzing financial statements and ledger activities, and providing variance analysis.
* This position requires interaction with the operations team and other financial organizations to drive process improvements, simplification, or other ad-hoc projects.
* Involved in CFR (Consolidated Financial Review) analysis and fluctuation commentary.
* Support internal & external audits, including statutory audits and quarterly reporting.
* Participate in continuous process improvement and simplification projects, working closely with business partners to rectify exceptions and close gaps.
* Maintain compliance with corporate accounting policies and ensure consistent processes across regions and globally. Provide guidance to team members, review journals, and reconciliations prepared by others.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification.
* Minimum of 6+ years of experience, preferably in an accounting firm and/or MNC.
* Experience with all facets of monthly accounting cycles and procedures, including financial reporting.
* Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
* Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Knowledge of Oracle and SOX compliance is an advantage.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
* Results-oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player.
* Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across all management levels.
* Experience in leadership or review work is highly advantageous.
* US accounting experience is an added advantage.
