The main goal of this position as part of Legal Entity Accounting Team is to deliver compliant local financial services to JJ affiliates. The Position of LE Accounting Manager is responsible for the local Statutory Accounts and Statutory Financial Statements for specific companies under their responsibility. This position is highly involved in all local statutory audits and support to Tax teams, working as a “Conductor” to orchestrate different teams to reach legal entities objectives! /p h3Core Responsibilities Include /h3 ul liFull responsibility for the local Statutory Reporting Requirements of companies in-scope of this manager /li liOversee the preparation by a 3rd party provider of the local Statutory Financial Statements of companies in scope. /li liCoordinate and execute (when applicable) corrective action plan related to Statutory Financial Statements process /li liMonitor, analyze and review department work and related processes to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy /li liApply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure /li liKey point of contact within the group on all technical statutory accounting queries and be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with external service provider, JJ corporate tax teams, external audit teams (PwC), and local management teams (finance, supply chain, legal, etc) /li liEnsure that all necessary closing requirements statutory are done /li liSupport JJ corporate tax centers by gathering and delivering the necessary data and information in response to requests related to corporate tax matters (e.g., tax returns and audit inquiries) for the companies in scope /li liEnsure that standardized processes with local audit (PWC), as well as 3rd party providers, are in place thorough understanding of the audit process and ability to liaise closely with Auditors, Local Management teams, and other stakeholders eg Tax Advisors /li liProvide detailed specific guidance and support on complex business issues and financial system issues so that overall control is maintained /li liClose interaction with A2R Group and other Global Services Groups (specific statutory requirements) /li liSupport projects when applicable (provide insights into specific local statutory and tax requirements or process related) /li liInteract with other Global teams to benchmark process and address action plans /li /ul h3People Management /h3 ul liRecruit, lead, motivate and develop team. /li liClear communication of job expectations /li liPlanning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions /li liCoaching and mentoring of team members /li liFoster an environment of respect, teamwork, innovation and sharing of ideas. /li /ul h3Compliance Statement /h3 ul liEnsure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve “adequate” compliance with SOX controls and Local GAAP according to jurisdictions requirements /li liKeeping businesses compliant with various local accounting regulations /li liWork transparently and communicates clearly with Senior Leadership /li liCommitted to meeting all corporate and local deadlines /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liCommitted to meeting all corporate and local deadlines /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liFluent English is required /li liFluent Italian is required /li /ul h3Experience Required /h3 ul liPrevious job experience in one of the Big 4 companies or other audit firm preferred /li liExperience in Italian statutory accounting and tax /li liExperience with GAAP conversions and related agenda /li /ul h3Skills Competencies /h3 ul liGreat analytical skills /li liStrong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate well in presentations for Leadership /li liStrong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required /li liProven business partnering skills (especially with external audit teams) /li liAbility to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, fostering same mindset with the team /li liGreat US GAAP accounting knowledge /li liGreat local GAAP knowledge /li liWillingness to travel (~20%) /li /ul h3Within the JJ Leadership skills definition following skills and competencies should be shown in this role /h3 ul liResults Performance Driven: ul liTakes personal responsibility for delivering results /li liEagerly accepts stretch goals /li liAbility to coordinate tasks and orchestrate different teams for supporting audits /li /ul /li liSense of Urgency: ul liQuickly assimilates and digests information /li liDemonstrates a clear focus for action on priorities /li /ul /li liStrategic Thinking: ul liDemonstrates understanding of Johnson Johnson’s and the local operating company’s strategy and business model.
