Main Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with required HSE codes, standards, regulations, and governmental health and safety regulations; act as a liaison with local, regional, or national regulatory authorities.Ensure proper investigation of environmental and safety incidents and lead corrective actions to closure; experience with root cause analysis methods is preferred.Serve as a professional advisor to Country Management regarding existing or potential safety issues.Develop Prevention and Protection strategies and guide team members in preparing action plans to continuously improve performance and customer satisfaction.Review and report progress and safety performance for the assigned site/function according to EH&S metrics established by Management.Ensure that assigned projects are completed as planned to meet EH&S objectives; provide Management with updates and escalation on projects/programs while maintaining communication with site functions.Monitor evolving EHS legislation and take appropriate actions to ensure compliance; communicate EH&S matters to all necessary managers and employees.Stay informed about advances in safety and environmental technology and ensure that applicable improvements are incorporated within Applied Materials.
