Job Description Summary: The EHS Inspection and Training Specialist will work under the guidance of the Europe EHS Leader/RSPP to manage EHS risks, identify hazards, and develop improvement actions. The ultimate goal is to prevent injuries, accidents, and HIPOs.
The key responsibilities include:
- Conducting inspections in various work areas (Gate 1/Gate3, Gate 2, Maintenance) for both AA and contractor jobs
- Focusing on workstations, tooling/fixtures, and work methods
- Monitoring daily EHS programs such as Contractor Mgt, Lo.To, Work permit, lifting, forklift, chemicals, PPE
- Inspecting lifting devices, ladders, and other special fixtures as needed
- Leading periodic inspections on shelves/pallet racks
The specialist will support the team by training supervisors (line leaders/foremen) in their day-to-day tasks, working with EHS coordinators internal and external, and monitoring maintenance activities performed by contractors.
The ideal candidate should have a technical high school diploma, significant experience in EHS matters (10+ years), knowledge of manufacturing/service processes, lifting, material handling, NDT, and be an EHS trainer according to D.I. 6/3/2013.
Desired characteristics include an open mindset to learn and promote EHS culture with passion, experience in complex plants, basic communication skills in English, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and ability to coordinate and execute small projects.
