For the Unit Professional Services for GHO & Italian entities, within the division Professional Services & Marketing Procurement, we are looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer. The Unit provides all strategic procurement activities related to professional services (Consultancy, HR, Legal, BPO) for Italian legal entities. The Senior Strategic Buyer Professional Services will be responsible for: Implementation of the category strategy within the defined area of responsibility Performing tenders, conducting negotiations, and supporting contract definition Identifying cost reduction and optimization levers Contributing to the achievement of savings targets aligned with procurement delivery and the respective Category Manager Supporting the achievement of targets and fulfilling reporting requirements Active management of main category-internal suppliers, their integration into demand and specification management processes, monitoring supplier performance, and gathering customer feedback Monitoring the P2P process and coordinating involvement of other functions (legal, compliance, IT security) Supporting the development of demand management plans with internal stakeholders The new hire will be responsible for: Negotiating and finalizing contracts Ensuring full spend transparency Establishing partnerships with key stakeholders at Group and Country levels Defining savings and cost optimization measures as planned Requirements 10 years of experience in Procurement, particularly of Professional Services Ability to interact at senior levels within Generali and the industry University degree or equivalent Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities Operational focus with the ability to deliver results under pressure Fluency in English Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across cultures and seniority levels Company Profile Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry, with a presence in over 60 countries, nearly 80,000 employees, and a history spanning almost 200 years.
