Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and academically rigorous Business Studies and Economics lessons to high school students in English, in line with the Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International A Level curricula. Candidates must be English Mother Tongue or fully bilingual, with the ability to teach confidently and accurately through English at an academic level. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to supporting students in achieving excellent examination outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Business Studies and Economics lessons in accordance with the Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International A Level syllabuses.
- Develop students' understanding of key business and economic concepts, analytical skills, and evaluation techniques.
- Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and external Cambridge examinations.
- Support students in developing academic language and subject-specific terminology in English.
- Use a range of teaching and assessment strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners in a bilingual and international context.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress using formative and summative assessment practices aligned with Cambridge standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence, progression, and consistency across year groups.
- Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and the wider academic life of the school.
- Participate actively in school life, including meetings, professional development, events, and communication with parents.
