Description The opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transfer of Production Manager (TOP) to lead and coordinate the transfer of production operations across facilities. This role is critical to ensuring seamless transitions, maintaining product quality, and optimizing manufacturing efficiency during production relocations. Location: Lodi, Italy Business Unit: High Voltage Products Department: Local Product Management Italy How you'll make an impact - Prepare and implement transfer plans in alignment with Global TOP guidelines (Phase Model), addressing timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. - Work with engineering, R&D, logistics, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment and execution. This involves regularly facilitating cross-functional meetings to communicate project goals, tracking progress through detailed reports, resolving technical challenges collaboratively,. - Manage budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effective production transfers. - Oversee and manage the implementation of the 0 series at the new production facility by closely monitoring project timelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards, coordinating with engineering and production teams, addressing any technical or logístical issues that arise, and regularly reporting progress to senior management to ensure smooth and efficient start-up operations. - Identify potential risks and implement contingency plans to address challenges proactively. - Lead training and onboarding initiatives for staff at the new production location. - Keep comprehensive records and documentation for the entire transfer process, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, transfer checklists, communication logs, approval forms, and training materials. - Oversee the process qualification assessment by coordinating with relevant stakeholders to thoroughly evaluate the operational maturity of the receiving unit. This includes collecting and analyzing process documentation, conducting interviews or site visits as needed, and identifying any existing gaps in procedures, competencies, or resources that could impact performance or compliance. Your background - Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field), or a Senior Technical High School Diploma in Industrial Engineering with equivalent knowledge. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management end/or Supplier Quality - Proven track record of successful project management and cross-functional team leadership. - Operational expertise in coordinating new product implementation and transferring production between factories is a plus - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean production principles. - Strong communication and leadership skills - Fluent English; proficiency in Italian is a plus. - Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. - Familiarity with structured product development processes and tools (e.g., CAD, FEM, PLM, ERP) - Willingness to travel and work across multiple production sites as required. - Quality Auditor Certification is a plus.
