Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, part of the LVMH Group, is a charming guesthouse in the heart of Portofino. Its celebrated restaurant, DaV Mare, embodies all the pleasures of piazzetta living through refined cuisine, curated in partnership with the 3-Michelin-star Cerea family. Awash with nautical spirit, our gem on the Italian Riviera celebrates the art of Ligurian living in its purest form.
For the next season, we are looking for a Maitre to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He/She is willing to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community. He/She will report to the Restaurant Manager.
Main duties & responsibilities:
* Anticipate guests\' needs and handle guest complaints, providing an excellent and personalized guest experience in line with our service standards.
* Cooperate with the Restaurant Manager for staff development.
* Manage staff in everyday operations according to our standards and procedures.
* Maintain a professional relationship with guests and colleagues.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years\' experience in the same role in the luxury hotel industry.
* Fluent in English and Italian; a third language is desirable.
* Experience preferably at an international level in a fine dining restaurant.
* Professional knowledge of Italian cuisine and Italian & International wines; HACCP certification is required.

* Start date: March 2026 to End date: January 2027, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido Mare and a career path.
* Monthly gross salary 2.500€ + separate payslip for 13th, 14th salaries and TFR.
