Senior Field Service Technician Role
As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to our customers across the United States. You will work independently to diagnose and resolve complex issues with automated industrial systems, ensuring excellent service quality and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform post-installation assistance on very complex automatic machines at customer sites.
* Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/electronic faults and install related components to resolve issues.
* Use measuring tools for verification and calibration.
* Install additional plant components as needed.
* Travel frequently within the United States, either alone or in a team, to perform site visits and urgent interventions.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing sector is preferred.
* Knowledge of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics is required.
* Basic knowledge of PLCs and measurement and calibration instrumentation is preferred.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective customer interaction.
* Ability to manage own work independently with the primary goal of customer satisfaction.
* Natural predisposition to teamwork focused on achieving team goals.
* Self-motivated and multitasking-oriented individual with good computer system knowledge.
Work Environment:
This role operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing setting. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.
The job requires frequent business travel within the United States, approximately 80-100 days per year, after which the employee will be relocated to our Hickory (North Carolina – USA) plant.
