COMPANY PROFILE: WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Supports the Chief Engineer / Project Leader in defining the concept and technical solutions and ensures the correct interfaces between the various groups and components. Leads and designs the group, starting from the first concepts through whole process, including warranty claims. Defines BOM for the parts/subassemblies and assembly in the machine and is in direct contact with the packaging activities to sort out assembly problems in advance of physical parts. He/She is an expert of the 3D tools and manufacturing processes in order to ensure design solutions are comptible with production toolings and metodologies, he/she follows the product develpment from concept phase till industrialization phase. He/She has an overall knowledge of the vehicle (Tractor), he/shee directly develops concepts and design feasibility studies to a level of details sufficient to be then passed to execution phase, and he/she also follows and co-ordinates other technical teams ( hoods, tanks, cab, etc ) in development systems / modules under their competence and design control. He/She also Co-ordinates Outsourcing Engineers when appropriate.He/she’s also an expert of BoM and coordinates with the Prduct Manager the structure of Vehicle BoM for new and current production vehicles managing Base configurations, Options, Dealer Installed variante etc YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: In order to achieve the tasks, the main responsibilities of the position include: - Industrial Product Offering - Manages the content of Engineering Bill Of Materials and Variants - Accessories Component layout - Drives the layout of the components together with the shared technologies experts (DAS, AME, Cab, etc.) and the Project Leader - Technical Guide - High weight in technical choice (in support to Chief Engineer and Project Leader), high focus on design to cost! - Outsourcing management - supervise & drive for the best design quality and efficency - Work close to the packaging activities (on new programs and current products) - Virtual PIR management - solve issues coming out of advanced manufacturing process - Vehicle Homologation - Responsibility for Homologation drawings and schematics for the subassemblies, maintains the Homologation checklist together with the vehicle architect - Engineering Services management - technical interface of Product Engineering versus Engineering Services to define groups and links to variants of the subassemblies - Reporting - Capable to summarize STATUS of activities to Chief Engineer and other company stakholders - Contributes to the decrease overall product complexity - Contributes to the overall profitability of existing products (product cost sensitivness required) YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Mechanical Engineering degree or technical background desired - Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle/mechanical design, focus on fabricated parts & accessories. - Experience in FEM calculation embeded in Creo for precalculation in parallel to the design of the parts - Advanced knowledge of English (written and spoken) - Technical skills: basics of all Tractor systems, including technical drawings, mechanical, building science and materials, manufacturing technologies with focus on fabricated parts, mechanical systems/layouts - Advanced CAD 3D user (TeamCenter, VisMockup and Creo preferred) - Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams - Prior experience in design of agricultural equipment is preferred OTHER INFORMATION: - Eligibility to work in Italy - Full clean Driving Licence - Ability to travel around the territory and availability to occasional travels (IT and abroad) with some over-night stays - Languages: fluent in English and Italian preferred - An independent thinking is required.
