In 2025 Italdesign obtained the Top Employers Certification for the tenth year in a row. /p pPosizione: Italdesign is looking for a Team Leader – Chassis Vehicle Systems to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and drive the development and integration of chassis systems at vehicle level. The role combines strong technical ownership with team coordination and project delivery, while also acting as a key reference at cluster level, contributing to business development activities, RFQs, and the strategic positioning of the chassis domain. The candidate will interface with OEMs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring performance, timing, quality targets, and the growth of technical capabilities within the organization. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul lidevelopment and integration of chassis and vehicle systems (PWT) /li licoordination of multiple teams and Team Leaders /li litechnical and managerial reference point for the chassis domain, with a cross‑functional perspective on systems, performance, and processes /li lidefinition of technical strategy and capability development /li lidelivery of projects in compliance with quality, cost, and timing targets /li likey interface between technical teams, project management, and OEM stakeholders /li lilead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team (design, CAE, testing, suppliers) /li lidefine priorities, allocate tasks, and monitor workload /li lisupport RFQ activities (definition of technical scope and effort estimation) /li liidentify new opportunities (innovation, new chassis services) /li lidefine and strengthen the competitive positioning of the cluster /li lisupport team development and technical growth with focus on further business development /li liensure effective communication within the team and across departments /li lisupervise the development of chassis and PWT systems, including: suspensions, braking systems, steering systems, wheels tires, air intake, fuel system, exhaust /li limanage project activities across all development phases (concept to SOP) /li liensure compliance with milestones, deliverables, and quality standards /li limanage input/output flows between departments (simulation, CAD, testing, manufacturing) /li licoordinate suppliers and co‑engineering activities /li lisupport supplier nomination and technical alignment /li /ul h3Key Requirements /h3 ul li5 years in automotive engineering /li listrong expertise in chassis and PWT systems (suspension, steering, braking, air intake, exhaust, fuel system) /li lisolid understanding of vehicle dynamics and system integration /li liprevious experience as Team Leader or Senior Engineer with coordination responsibilities /li liexperience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers /li listrong leadership and accountability /li listructured and analytical mindset /li lieffective communication skills (international environment) /li liresults‑oriented approach /li libusiness development focus /li liteam performance and capability growth /li licustomer satisfaction and stakeholder alignment /li liteam leadership and coordination /li liplanning and prioritization /li liproblem solving and decision making /li listakeholder management (internal and external) /li liability to manage complex and cross‑functional environments /li liexperience with automotive development processes (V-cycle) /li liunderstanding of system integration processes and methodologies /li lidecision making skills combined with an assertive and persuasive leadership style /li liability to anticipate, manage critical situations and provide effective solutions /li liability to organize and motivate a teamwork depending on needs and contingent situations /li liproblem solving and ability to synthesize information /li lipriority management, proactivity, flexibility, resilience /li liability to transfer methodology and know‑how in your own project team and to the rest of the department team /li /ul h3Preferential Requirements /h3 ul liCAE / multibody simulation tools (e.g. Adams) /li liCAD tools (e.g. Catia) /li liquality standards, processes, dynamics according to customer (OEM) process and requirements /li liknowledge of control systems and vehicle functions (ESC, torque management) /li liknowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN) /li lilegislative, homologation, rating constraints /li liknowledge of component validation methods and procedures (e.g. testing specifications) /li /ul h3Altre informazioni /h3 pbEducation: /b Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent /p pbLanguage skills: /b Fluent knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English are required.
