Hospitality Villa Manager – Como, Italy

This is an on-site senior leadership role based in Como, Italy, for a Hospitality Manager who will lead the pre-opening and ongoing operation of Greyheath Hospitality's newest lakeside property. As the most senior on-property leader, the Hospitality Manager will hold full accountability for the guest experience, the property's commercial performance, and the team that delivers both. The role spans the entire pre-opening lifecycle — recruiting and training the on-site team, defining service standards and SOPs, overseeing FF&E and final commissioning, and establishing supplier and partner relationships — through to steady-state operation, where the Hospitality Manager owns the P&L, sets the operational rhythm, and serves as the principal point of contact. The position requires hands-on hosting alongside strategic stewardship of the property, and the successful candidate will set the tone for service excellence at one of the most anticipated openings on Lake Como.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in ultra-luxury hospitality, with prior tenure as a General Manager, Head Villa Manager, Estate Manager, or equivalent senior on-property role
- Demonstrated success leading a pre-opening or repositioning of a luxury property, including SOP development, recruitment, training, and commissioning
- Full P&L ownership experience, including budget construction, revenue forecasting, cost control, capex planning, and reporting to ownership or executive leadership
- Multi-department leadership across front-of-house, xivgfpx housekeeping, butler/private service, F&B, maintenance, grounds, and security, including direct line management of senior heads of department
- Established standards-setting capability, with a track record of building and embedding service standards aligned with Forbes, LQA, or comparable luxury benchmarks
- Sophisticated organizational, prioritization, and crisis-management abilities, with the judgement to make decisions under pressure on behalf of ownership
- Fluency in English and Italian is required;
- Willingness to live on or near the property and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in line with the rhythm of guest stays
