Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a Product Validation Engineer for our High Voltage Business Unit at the Milan Design Center. In this role you will support the development of advanced gate drivers and power management solutions for e‑mobility and industrial automation, ensuring that next‑generation products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
* Perform bench evaluation and characterization of advanced mixed‑signal products using state‑of‑the‑art electronic equipment.
* Assist in developing custom hardware and validation test programs for both automated and manual bench evaluations.
* Analyze measurement results and consolidate data into comprehensive product evaluation reports that drive design improvements.
* Partner with project team members to execute rigorous test, evaluation, and qualification plans.
* Participate in multifunctional teams to address specific technical challenges and apply problem‑solving skills to real‑world engineering scenarios.
* Master Allegro’s specialized validation methodologies and internal tools, gaining exposure to the full semiconductor product lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BS).
* Fundamental understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles and solid grasp of statistics for data analysis.
* Familiarity with programming languages and automation frameworks such as Python, LabVIEW, or NI TestStand.
* Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a multifunctional, team‑oriented environment.
* Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
* Detail‑oriented with a passion for high‑quality engineering and data integrity.
Nice to Have
* Hands‑on experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCad.
* Working knowledge of National Instruments ecosystem (PXI/ PXIe, SMU, DMM, oscilloscope, digital pattern, switch matrices) and TestStand–based sequencing, with ability to integrate them into automated bench setups for mixed‑signal IC characterization.
