PpRINA is currently recruiting for a Construction Safety Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Civil Engineering Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pMission: The role focuses on ensuring the safety of construction operations in the infrastructure environment, such as the construction site’s safety processes, equipment, workers, and more, in cooperation with the Principal Engineer. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 ul liIdentify, assess and mitigate safety construction risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. /li liEnsure all construction activities comply with applicable local, state, and federal safety regulations and company policies. /li liConduct regular site inspections, identify potential hazards, develop and drive implementation of corrective actions, and prepare technical reports. /li liAssist in developing project‑specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements. /li liInvestigate accidents and near misses, report findings, and recommend preventive measures. /li liVerify safety training for construction personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders. /li liVerify or develop emergency response plans for each construction site. /li liPerform or verify risk assessments for various construction activities and propose control measures. /li liVerify proper use, maintenance, and availability of safety equipment and PPE. /li liProvide direct day‑to‑day support and oversight of project elements. /li liTeam‑work and assist engineers or engineering teams on construction sites. /li liDevelop project schedules and deliverable timelines under supervision. /li liPrepare or verify technical deliverables and progress reports. /li liEnsure all activities are executed in accordance with RINA QMS. /li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liBachelor’s Degree in Construction and Environment or Civil Engineering. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liProven experience in construction safety management, with a track record of identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety risks on construction sites. /li liExperience in developing and implementing safety programs and conducting safety training. /li /ul h3Knowledge /h3 ul liThorough understanding of relevant safety regulations and industry standards such as OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc. /li liStrong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and equipment. /li liFamiliarity with risk assessment methodologies and emergency response procedures. /li liGood level in speaking, listening, and writing. /li liHave a big picture view of different situations and interpret them from a new perspective. /li liForge trust relationships across departments and outside the organization. /li liEmbrace internal and external client needs and expectations for maximum satisfaction. /li liTake everyone\'s opinion into account and remain open to diversity. /li liStructure activities according to priorities, actions, resources, and constraints. /li liRecognise one\'s and other\'s emotions and express and regulate one\'s reactions. /li liActively embrace change and benefit from new circumstances. /li liPromote sustainable development by keeping promises as a role model. /li liCapitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future. /li /ul h3Other Details /h3 ul liSeniority level : Associate /li liJob function : Management and Manufacturing /li liIndustries : Mechanical Or Industrial Engineering, Environmental Services, and Information Technology Services. /li /ul pAt RINA, we endeavor to create a work environment where every single person is valued and encouraged to develop new ideas.
