Cell Biology Scientist (experienced in iPSC)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and creative Cell Biologist with experience in human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC) and hiPSC-derived cells for our iPSC Unit.
* Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Medicine, or Pharmacology is preferred.
* Experience in expanding hiPSCs in culture and banking hiPSCs for research.
* Maintaining and scaling up cultures of hiPSCs and their differentiation into lineages such as neuronal cells and cardiomyocytes.
* Developing disease modeling assays to assess physiologically relevant phenotypes.
* Developing cell-based assays for different targets using various readout systems.
* Setting up and maintaining cost-effective laboratory operations.
* Familiarity with pharmacological concepts related to receptors, ion channels, and transporters.
* Ability to evaluate, analyze, and interpret research data.
* Ability to follow instructions closely and work independently when needed.
* Good team player with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and GraphPad Prism.
* Fluent or proficient in spoken and written English.
Additional advantageous skills include:
* Genome editing of hiPSC lines for mutation introduction, correction, knock-in, knock-out, or reporter gene insertion.
* Immunohistochemistry and phenotypic analysis.
* Familiarity with lab automation, microtiter plates, and liquid-handling devices.
* Preparation of cells to meet project demands.
