Based at our offices in Cernusco sul Naviglio / Ornago (Milan area) and reporting directly to the Head of GBS Regional Hub Europe South, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting activities for three legal entities in Italy. The scope includes general accounting, statutory and management reporting, and local tax matters, supporting our Extrusion and Building Systems business units.What you will be doingEnsure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of accounting informationManage the preparation, calculation, and reporting of local taxes, ensuring compliance with Italian regulations, IFRS standards, and Group requirementsOversee all general accounting entries, ensuring appropriate controls, documentation, and accuracySupervise monthly and annual closing activities and accounting reportingLead, coach, and develop a team of five accountants reporting directly to youActively manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholdersServe as a key finance contact, working closely with Controlling and IT teamsContribute to the development and continuous improvement of accounting processes and information systemsParticipate in cross-functional and cross-entity projects, including planning, execution, and progress communicationIn close collaboration with the Finance Managers of Building Systems and Extrusion, liaise with statutory auditors and tax authoritiesInteract with other entities across the Norsk Hydro GroupWhat will make you successful?Higher education in Accounting or Finance (University degree, master's degree, or equivalent)Minimum 4 years of experience as accounting manager in an international or multinational environmentStrong knowledge of IFRS standardsSAP Finance proficiency is a plusVery good knowledge of EnglishStrong Excel skillsProven leadership skills, ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, and strong task‐prioritization capabilitiesWhat we offer youWorking at the world's only fully integrated aluminium and leading renewable energy companyDiverse, global teamsFlexible work environment/home officeFreedom to be creative and to learn from expertsPossibility to grow with the company, gain new certificatesEqual opportunitiesAt Hydro, we believe diversity makes us stronger.
