Your Challenge
As a Junior Project Controller, you will be required to provide support for one or more project teams through providing comprehensive financial support and implementation of project management controls. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, reporting & analysis, business process improvement, and month end project settlement activities.
In addition you will support the head of finance digital transformation in developing the future digital finance skills and tools needed for the finance role.
Some of your main activities will be:
* To prepare project costs calculations and documentation, prepare Estimate-At-Completion (EAC) and variance analysis (budget vs actual)
* Provide accurate information to drive project profitability and other performance metrics through ad hoc project reporting and analysis as required
* Track, reconcile and work to minimize project unbilled balances
* Monitor and work to increase project cash flow
* Prepare risk and opportunity assessments; develop and implement plan to mitigate risks
* Prepare detailed monthly project rolling forecasts
* Timely and accurate project settlement, prepare month end project journal entries
* Support internal and external audits
* Ensure project accounting is aligned with Government accounting standards as well as company policies and procedures
* Interact with support teams including Corporate Accounting, IT, HR, Contracts, and Supply Chain Management and International stakeholders
* Analyzing the digital skills needed for the finance role in the future
* Actively search for trainings in digital finance
* Contributing to the digital initiatives of the company
Required entry qualifications
* You are under 29 and a fresh graduate in master’s degree in economics or management engineering
* A 3-month finance internship experience is a plus as well as an international experience
* Aspiration to develop a finance path and grow
* Genuine interest for digitalization
* Knowledge of office 365, SAP, Mendix will be a plus
* Ability to work in team, sometime located abroad, and think about everything from the customer perspective
* passion to never-stop growing
* Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create and share knowledge
* Proficiency in English and Italian
* Eligibility to work in Italy
