As Fixtures and Tooling Designer you will be responsible for designing and developing tooling and fixtures to support product manufacturing and inspection processes.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Analyze engineering drawings and components to be manufactured to assess the suitability of existing fixtures and tooling.
* Based on the type of part to be produced, the machine, and the manufacturing process, design and develop the necessary fixtures and tooling for production, with a primary focus on safety, product quality, versatility of use, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and tooling lifecycle management; when required, also prepare the related user manuals and operating instructions.
* Maintain and regularly update the database containing all existing and planned fixtures and tooling.
* Actively participate in the management of fixtures and tooling, from the initial identification, labeling and/or stamping to their logistics management, whether located at the company's facilities or at external warehouses.
* Support the management of fixtures and tooling by periodically checking their condition and functionality, organizing maintenance activities, and defining potential refurbishment or disposal actions when necessary.
* Collaborate with the Purchasing Department in defining purchase orders for suppliers responsible for the manufacturing of fixtures and tooling.
* Interface with external workshops and suppliers to provide technical clarifications and support during the quotation phase and throughout the subsequent production of the tooling.
* Supervise fixture and tooling functional testing, evaluating performance and proposing any improvement or optimization changes.
* Collaborate with the Engineering Department by providing feedback on design modifications aimed at optimizing production processes and product functionality.
* Support Research and Development activities by working closely with department managers to assist in the evaluation and implementation of new tooling solutions and commercially available fixtures and equipment.
* Collaborate with the Quality Control department to support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving the highest possible quality standards.
* Work closely with Routing and Production Control teams to improve manufacturing workflows of various components and to reduce processing time and, consequently, production costs whenever possible

For This Role, You Will Need:
* Technical diploma or Bachelor's/Master's degree.
* Good knowledge of the English language.
* At least 3 years of experience in a technical and/or manufacturing environment.
* Strong skills related to manufacturing technologies, machining processes, and technical drawing.
* Proficiency in CAD and technical design software (AutoCAD and/or PTC Creo, CAM systems).
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic design
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Preferred knowledge of the product and its technical characteristics.
* Knowledge of electronics and electrical engineering is considered a plus
