Job Description
The candidate is responsible for delivering exceptional User documentation that enables Datalogic clients to understand products and efficiently complete their jobs while ensuring a unified tone with minimal service calls.
Ensure customers can independently and efficiently use products through effective user documentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the creation, maintenance and revision of Datalogic technical documentation.
* Interact with the company’s stakeholders: R&D, Quality, Marketing, Customer Service/Test.
* Ensure that all technical documentation is properly released by project deadlines. Technical documentation includes user manuals, technical specifications, knowledge articles, help content and service manuals in English language.
* Manage manuals traslation process from request to release using both internal resources and external agencies, ensuring the same quality standard as the original version.
* Maintain, organize, improve and update the existing technical documentation.
* Adopt the best techical solutions in terms of desktop publishing and graphic design software programs according to internal standards and market state of the art.
* Ensure a unified tone, style, and voice across all contents.
Requirements
* Education: Foreign Language Degree or Electronic Engineering Degree or equivalent
* Languages: Italian and English > Mother tongue or proficient
* Experience: 0-1 years of relevant technical writing experience in applicable field
Technical & Soft Skills
1. Technical writing skills.
2. Knowledge of personal computer softwares: Word, Excel, Adobe Suite, is essential.
3. Knowledge of the following is preferable:
* Desktop publishing software: Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, other.
* Graphic design softwares: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, other.
* Nice to have: knowledge of Git, Visual studio code
* Multimedia development software used for writing Help On Line: FrameMaker, RoboHelp, Dreamweaver, etc.
* Mechanical electronic terms and functions.
* High attention to details.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Able to perform and succeed with limited supervision.
