Ph3Overview /h3pProgram manager of victim support services for domestic abuse and Families in crisis within the designated region, coordinating and overseeing local implementation and execution of the Victim Advocacy Program and EPC placement coordination and awareness / training. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliCommunicate understanding, sensitivity, and empathy for victims and non-abusing parent / guardian when handling victim cases. /liliEffectively communicate with victims, develop trusting helping relationships. /liliWork effectively with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. /liliWork independently to assess risk, develop, implement, and evaluate safety and intervention plans to meet victim needs. /liliOperate within guidelines of the U.S. Army's Family Advocacy Program, Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate Program. /liliConduct briefings to small and large groups of civilians, Soldiers, and Commanders. /liliWork cooperatively with Army Community Services and Family Advocacy Program staff, military, and civilian medical, social service, law enforcement, and legal personnel on behalf of victims. /liliEducate installation personnel on the most effective responses and resources for domestic abuse on behalf of victims and at-risk family members. /li /ulh3Required Education / Experience /h3ulliMust have a Master\'s degree and five years of supervisory experience in any social service program, in addition to the above victim advocacy experience. /liliMust have a minimum of two years\' experience providing comprehensive assistance and support to victims of domestic abuse. /liliMust have a minimum of two years\' experience in working with a military or civilian social service agency serving military families. /liliVAs will be certified by the National Advocate Credentialing Program at the time of hire or within one year of hire. /liliThorough knowledge of Family violence dynamics, trauma informed advocacy services, environmental stressors, safety planning, risk assessments, local community resources, and federal and state laws pertaining to domestic abuse, Family law and the Victim Rights Bill /li /ulh3Minimum Required Skills and Abilities /h3ulliKnowledge of military personnel automation systems and PC and possess good analytical skills, time management, and be an independent thinker. /liliPrior military experience or experience with military programs. /liliMust be familiar with U.S. Army rank structure and military culture. /liliAbility to effectively communicate and interact with others, both in person and / or by telephone to conduct business. /liliTravel will be required as needed. /liliExperience with Microsoft Suite programs. /liliYou must be legally authorized to work in the United States. /liliMust be able to pass a background check. /liliMust be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. /liliMust have strong listening skills and strong organizational skills. /liliMust possess a current and valid driver\'s license. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
