Role Description This full-time, on-site Banquet Manager role at San Clemente Palace Venice is based in Venice and is responsible for overseeing all banquet operations from planning through execution. The Banquet Manager coordinates with clients, the sales team, and other hotel departments to understand event requirements, design banquet setups, and ensure service standards are met. Daily responsibilities include supervising banquet staff, organizing shift schedules, leading pre-event briefings, and monitoring the quality and timing of food and beverage service. The role also involves managing inventory and equipment, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, and resolving any issues during events to maintain high guest satisfaction. The Banquet Manager analyzes event feedback, supports budgeting and cost control, and contributes to continuous improvement of banquet services and standards.
Qualifications
* Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and a focus on Customer Satisfaction.
* Excellent Communication abilities to coordinate with guests, vendors, and internal teams.
* Solid knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including banquet service standards and menu coordination.
* Experience in Hiring, training, and supervising banquet or hospitality teams.
* Proven experience in banquet, events, or hotel operations management, ideally in a luxury or upscale property.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
* Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
* Proficiency with event management and POS systems; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar tools.
* Fluency in English; Italian or additional languages are an advantage.
* Relevant hospitality or events management education or equivalent professional experience.
* Knowledge in Micros System.
