Job DescriptionRemarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world.Project Developer – Energy Assets & Technology TeamWood is recruiting for a Project Developer to join its Energy Assets & Technology team focusing on solar, wind and storage projects. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.The RoleThe Project Developer will support the Project Development team across the full development lifecycle of utility‐scale grid‐connected solar and wind projects, in addition to innovative technology solutions such as battery storage and green hydrogen, from greenfield prospecting to construction‐ready status. The candidate will engage with external stakeholders such as landowners, government bodies, Transmission System Operator (TSO) and engineering designers, in addition to internal stakeholders, liaising with planning, legal, finance and administrative teams.About the CompanyWe have more than 25 years of experience in the development, construction and operation of power plants. Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys and pre‐assessment evaluation of proposed areas for renewable power plantsDevelop new wind / solar business opportunities, focusing on innovative solutions such as agro‐photovoltaic power plantsAssist the Development team in negotiations of contracts with landowners and host community agreements with municipalitiesManage relationships with stakeholders involved in the development process (statutory bodies, grid operator, internal departments, subcontractors, law firms)Evaluate the economic viability of projects (cost estimate and financial model)Evaluate integration of battery energy storage systems with renewable projectsWrite detailed technical/administrative documents for permit applicationsReview all project documentation prepared by internal departments and external consultantsUse computer modelling software to assess energy production and design preliminary layouts

Qualifications

Master's degree in electrical, energetic or environmental engineering or environmental sciencesExperience in energy project permitting / development (3–5 years)Knowledge of the wind, solar and storage development processesGeneral knowledge of the planning and connection process for renewable projectsExcellent writing skills and ability to edit and proofread work prepared by othersFlexible, resourceful and able to work productively on multiple projects under strict deadlinesExcellent written and verbal Italian and English language skillsDetail‐orientedStrong teamwork attitudeKnowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Ability to travel nationally and internationally for short / medium periods

Desirable

Experience with GIS software, AutoCAD, PV case, PVSyst, windfarmer analystGood negotiation skillsBasic understanding of key legal documents such as land option agreements
