Ph3Overview /h3pThe Commercial Products QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of Navico’s commercial products, with a focus on radar and ECDIS software systems. This is a hands-on role in a small team that requires a flexible person who is curious about technology and has a strong interest in maritime systems. Includes development and execution of test plans, support in definition of production requirements and coordination of customer validation activities. /ph3Essential Functions /h3ulliDevelop and execute test plans and test cases for Navico’s commercial products, with a focus on radar and ECDIS software solutions. /liliIdentify, document, and report defects and issues. /liliPlan and execute testing to meet IMO Wheelmark requirements. /liliLiaise with and coordinate customer validation. Communicate with validators to identify and reproduce issues. /liliAssist Product Manager and Product Experts in replicating field issues and verifying resolutions. /liliWork with the Product Manager and Product Development and Engineering teams to clarify requirements for new features. /liliCollaborate with other testers and developers across Navico’s global organization to bring in best practices. /liliParticipate in team meetings and provide input on testing activities. /liliConduct positive and negative functional, regression, and performance testing as required. /liliMaintain accurate records of testing activities and outcomes. /liliAble to work independently within the bounds of a wider project. /liliAble to take high-level, often vaguely defined tasks and work independently to deliver outcomes. /li /ulh3Required Qualifications /h3ulli5+ years of experience in software quality testing or related field. /liliTechnical curiosity. /liliHigh level of expertise in testing techniques. /liliProficiency with defect testing tools (e.g. TestRail, TestLink, JIRA). /liliWritten and verbal communication skills in the English language. /liliDetailed knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies. /liliDetailed knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliExperience with compliance of IMO Wheelmark systems, especially radar and ECDIS. /liliUniversity degree in technology or related field. /liliAdvanced knowledge of automation framework. /li /ulh3Working Conditions /h3pThis is a mixed remote position. Working from home may be possible, but this position involves regular interaction with test labs and equipment.
