Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our Containerboard team in Monticello, Mississippi. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance to enhance equipment uptime and reliability, supporting the facility's production and quality goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new technologies. The position requires working any shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime, with a starting pay of $32.53 per hour or more, based on experience and ability.

What You Will Do
* Communicate daily work and machine conditions through written and verbal reports
* Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment
* Follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures
* Participate actively in safety programs
* Help meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals
* Participate in preventative maintenance to maximize machinery uptime
* Communicate effectively across all organizational levels in reports, emails, and meetings
* Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods
* Adhere strictly to safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* High School Diploma or GED
* Two-year technical degree in Electrical Maintenance or at least three years of electrical/electronic experience in industry or military
* Experience operating, monitoring, adjusting, and troubleshooting machinery
What Will Put You Ahead
* Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLCs, motors, and drives
* Experience calibrating pressure, temperature, and flow transmitters and other instrumentation
* Experience with analytical instruments such as pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen sensors
* Experience working with high-voltage switchgear and protective relays
* Hydraulic troubleshooting experience
