We are now strengthening our Site Management team and are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join us in Genoa. Role Overview We are looking for a technically skilled Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Site Management team, focused on commissioning and installation activities onboard cruise and merchant vessels at Italian shipyards. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Genoa, Italy. In this role, you will carry out field service, troubleshooting, and commissioning work, typically at shipyard locations or onboard vessels. You will work independently on-site while being supported by our broader technical and project teams. Your mission will be to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient commissioning activities and to serve as a technical representative to our customers. Key Responsibilities Execute commissioning and field service activities according to defined work plans Perform troubleshooting, running tests, fine-tuning, and making necessary adjustments Carry out installation checks, pre-commissioning, and full system commissioning Complete major repairs and overhauls independently when required Hand over systems and equipment to the customer and/or shipyard after successful testing Lead and manage small teams during on-site project execution when assigned Interface directly with customers and shipyard personnel during project execution Report progress and provide status updates on assigned work internally and externally Prepare and submit service reports and documentation upon completion of tasks Ensure compliance with NACOS's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards Advise customers on system usage and promote available product solutions when appropriate Job Requirements Technical education in automation, electronics, marine engineering, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience onboard cruise and/or merchant vessels Practical knowledge of automation systems, ideally including Platinum, XD-DNA, and Lyngsø Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating remotely with technical teams Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills with a hands-on attitude Excellent communication and customer interaction skills Proficient in English, both written and spoken Willingness to travel and work at various shipyards and onboard vessels as required Why choose us and why we’d choose you?
