It is the duty of the Team Leaders to lead, train and motivate their team members; communicating pertinent information, monitoring issues, assessing performance, and ensuring direct reports achieve daily targets. /p pThe Team Leader, Laboratory Operations I has direct line management responsibility for a defined number of Senior Technicians, Technicians and/or Assistants. /p h3Duties /h3 ul liOrganise and supervise a team of laboratory personnel to achieve the targets. /li liAssign tasks based on individual strengths and experience. Leverage the unique skills of each team member to ensure efficient task completion and maximise team productivity. /li liEnsure individual and area tasks as per the daily schedule are completed to guarantee on-time-delivery. /li liComplete performance reviews and appraisals with all direct reports. /li liDisseminate pertinent information to the team: daily targets, updates on procedures, and any other relevant details. /li liProactively monitor team member performance and identify any challenges they might encounter. /li liProvide training opportunities, answer questions, and create a positive and motivating work environment. /li liWork with your team to ensure they have the resources and support they need to successfully complete their assigned tasks and achieve the established targets for each day. /li liCollaborate effectively with the Supervisor, Laboratory Operations to guarantee the smooth daily operation of the entire laboratory. This may involve assisting with specific tasks or delegating work to optimise overall lab efficiency. /li liPromote a respectful and productive work environment by facilitating effective communication and conflict resolution strategies. /li liPromote continuous improvement by championing 5S initiatives, leading kaizen events, and supporting the CI Manager. /li liApprove Customer test reports ensuring right first time, escape process issues and maintain Technician training records. Additionally provide audit support and assist with equipment validation, work instructions and non-conformance investigations. /li liEnsure all laboratory work is carried out in compliance with local Safety, Health and Welfare regulations. /li liEnsure personal protective clothing equipment is worn in accordance with the Health Safety policy and continuously monitor work area for unsafe conditions. /li liEnsure all work in the laboratory is carried out in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice, ISO13485 (Current Revision), ISO17025 (Current Revision) accreditation requirements, internal procedures and in conjunction with the laboratory staff and under the direction of the laboratory senior management team. /li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liBachelor's Degree /li /ul h3Required Experience Competencies /h3 ul liExperience in a Senior Technician, Senior Operator or Senior Analyst role. /li liExperience of working in a laboratory in the service sector or other fast paced manufacturing environment. /li liA demonstratable ability to manage people. /li liExperience working in a highly regulated environment. /li liExperience directly interfacing with Customers. /li liKnowledge of ISO 17025 and GMP requirements pertaining to laboratory operations preferable. /li liPrior exposure to managing health and safety requirements. /li liProven Leadership ability. /li liStrong Customer facing skills. /li liExcellent interpersonal skills including cooperation and teamwork. /li liExcellent IT skills and knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint. /li liExcellent organisational skills and time management skills. /li liExcellent written and oral communication skills. /li liMeticulous attention to detail. /li liExcellent English knowledge. /li /ul pSTERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
