The Project Engineer is tasked with managing the day-to-day technical operations of engineering projects. This includes preparing project plans, reviewing technical drawings, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals. They are responsible for tracking project milestones, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves conducting site visits, supporting procurement activities, and maintaining communication with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns. Additionally, Project Engineers play a key role in quality assurance, risk management, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage technical aspects of engineering projects.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
* Collaborate with design, procurement, and construction teams.
* Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Monitor project progress and prepare status reports.
* Identify and resolve technical issues and risks.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
* Support procurement and vendor selection processes.
* Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
* Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
* Master's degree in Engineering or Project Management is often preferred.
* 3–5 years of experience in engineering project roles.
* Proven track record of managing or supporting large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects.
* Experience working with contractors, architects, and multidisciplinary teams. xrdztoy
* Professional Engineer (PE) license (required or preferred depending on the industry and region)
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
* OSHA or equivalent safety training certifications may be beneficial.
