Join us and be part of something impactful. Job Description : MISSION Support the HSE objectives and achieve company goals related to health, safety, and environment. We are seeking a qualified HSE Advisor to oversee safety at Hitachi Rail construction sites, support the HSE function, and contribute to meeting health, safety, and environmental goals. Accountabilities Contribute to establishing, documenting, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Local HSE Management System in compliance with international standards, local procedures, and contractual requirements. Supervise the implementation of Hitachi activities on projects in accordance with HSE policies, legal requirements, client HSE requirements, and the HSE management system. Identify risks and hazards, collaborate on risk assessment and control measure identification, in compliance with applicable HSE legislation, client requirements, and the HSE management system. Conduct audits and inspections as required by legislation. Implement HSE programs to achieve HSE objectives and targets. Manage external HSE resources on-site. Participate in identifying training needs and conduct training sessions as per the training plan. Assist during bidding phases to identify legal requirements. Define and update procedures for managing potential emergency situations. Monitor, report, and communicate HSE performance, implementing corrective actions for negative trends. Investigate and analyze HSE incidents and near misses. Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective/preventive actions are taken. Assist in preparing documentation for annual management review meetings. Manage HSE aspects at manufacturing facilities. Performance Criteria Timely delivery of HSE documents with quality assurance. Risk evaluation and management. Management of audit and inspection processes. Customer satisfaction. Skills & Knowledge Willingness to travel frequently within Italy. Degree in civil, environmental, occupational safety engineering, or equivalent technical qualification (or qualified HSE Master). Deep knowledge of HSE regulations, especially related to construction sites. Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001 standards. Certification as ASPP with Modules A and B (D.Lgs. 81/08) or equivalent qualification. Experience managing HSE in construction, especially in high-speed, mass transit, and railway projects. Proficiency in Windows and Office Suite. Effective communication, presentation, and training skills. Minimum 3 years’ experience in occupational safety sector. English proficiency at B2 level. Proactive attitude, adaptability, teamwork, and effective communication. Professional HSE certifications (CSE). Desirable Knowledge & Skills Lead Auditor ISO 45001 / 14001 certification - Plus. Experience managing HSE at manufacturing facilities - Plus. Knowledge of railway safety regulations - Plus. Understanding of corporate processes and cost estimation techniques - Plus.
