- Milan, Conerado About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated CAPEX Controller to oversee and manage capital expenditure across large scale, technically complex industrial projects.
Operating in a capital intensive environment, you will ensure the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of all CAPEX related financial data while supporting project teams in strategic decision making.This role requires strong analytical capability, financial rigour, and the ability to work autonomously within a fast growing, multi project environment.
You will act as the key link between investment projects and accounting, ensuring financial governance, transparency, and operational excellence.Key Missions1) Fixed Asset AccountingEnsure correct classification of expenses (CAPEX vs OPEX)Monitor assets under construction and project progressContribute to monthly and annual closings, including CAPEX accrualsManage asset commissioning, component allocation, and depreciation plansTrack disposals, transfers, impairments, and write offs2) Internal Control & Compliance (SOX Environment)Implement and execute SOX controls related to CAPEXDocument processes, controls, and financial workflowsLiaise with internal and external auditorsContribute to continuous improvement of internal control frameworks3) Financial SteeringOwn monthly CAPEX cash out forecasts (M+1, M+2)Ensure accurate financial monitoring of CAPEX (budget, costs, timelines)Validate purchase orders and track financial commitmentsSupport project teams with financial insights and decision making4) Reporting & ToolsProduce monthly CAPEX reports (paid CAPEX, asset variation tables, dashboards)Use and enhance financial tools (ERP, project tools, BI platforms)Participate in finance transformation initiatives (process optimisation, new tools, construction modules)Scope of ResponsibilityIndustrial construction projects, technical investments, maintenance CAPEX, and IT investmentsSignificant CAPEX envelope (over €1.3bn on balance sheet;
