We are looking for a highly motivated Government Relations Manager (GRM) to join our team in Italy. This role is essential to strengthening Bybit’s presence in the Italian market by ensuring regulatory alignment and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
* Build and maintain strong relationships with Italian regulatory authorities (e.g. CONSOB, Banca d’Italia), financial institutions, and relevant government bodies.
* Monitor and analyze Italian and EU regulatory developments affecting digital assets, VASPs, and crypto markets—including MiCA, AML directives, and local implementation policies.
* Represent Bybit in regulatory discussions, public consultations, and fintech / blockchain policy forums in Italy.
* Work cross-functionally with Bybit’s Legal, Compliance, Strategy, and Product teams to ensure operations align with Italian laws and EU regulations.
* Support Bybit’s registration, licensing, and ongoing compliance efforts in Italy.
* Identify potential regulatory risks and opportunities that may affect local market entry, growth, and customer trust.
* Liaise with external legal counsel, compliance consultants, and industry associations to support regulatory strategy.
* Promote Bybit’s brand in Italy by participating in industry events, contributing to thought leadership, and engaging in policy development.
Ideal Candidate Profile :
* Minimum 3 years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, legal, or compliance—preferably in fintech, crypto, or traditional finance.
* Solid understanding of Italy’s financial regulatory framework, including familiarity with CONSOB guidelines and EU directives such as MiCA and AML.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proven experience engaging with Italian regulators or contributing to public policy in the digital finance sector.
* Ability to interpret and operationalize complex regulatory requirements.
* Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, or related field (Master’s or legal qualification is a plus).
* Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken).
* Based in Italy and knowledgeable about the local political, legal, and business landscape.
