The Role You will work within the Humanoid & Human Centred Mechatronics Research Line, focusing on robot design and control, particularly on developing high-performance teleoperation software for mobile robotic systems used in hazard-prone industries. Your work will involve developing tele-manipulation and haptics software for master teleoperation stations, integrating haptic systems into a Master-Slave setup. Essential Requirements Master’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience in software development. Proven portfolio in robotics, mechatronics, VR, teleoperation, or related fields. Experience in Object-Oriented programming (C++) on Linux and Windows. Knowledge of forward and inverse kinematics and relevant libraries. Experience with robotics platforms such as ROS, ROS2, Rviz, Gazebo, Bullet, MuJoCo is a plus. Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, sockets) and multithreading in high-performance teleoperation software. Additional Skills Experience with device driver development and GUI development (QT or similar). Strong teamwork skills, proactive and autonomous work capacity. Excellent English communication skills; Italian language skills are a plus. Willingness to travel for meetings and demonstrations.
