Job Description
OBS is seeking to fill a temporary freelance position as Broadcast Engineering Equipment Operator to work in the Broadcast Engineering (BEng) department. This position acts as the liaison between BEng and the Inventory Department. The main purpose of this position is to organise and keep track of the BEng equipment in the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC), which is our operational headquarters in the building of Fiera Milano, in Milan, and where this position is located.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Coordinate the delivery and dispatch of the Broadcast System Equipment in the IBC;
* Act as a bridge between the Inventory Department and the Broadcast System Technical Administration department;
* Issue equipment to engineers and installers;
* Keep documentation and inventory records up to date;
* Maintain the EDC (Equipment Dispatch Centre) in a neat and orderly fashion;
* Support and guide the student workforce;
* Help coordinate deliveries between EDC and warehouse;
* Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment;
* Perform other duties and tasks as assigned;
Skills, Requirements & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field;
* Previous experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, or broadcast operations preferred;
* Fluent written and verbal English;
* Good knowledge of Microsoft office for inventory management (Excel, Word, Access);
* Good knowledge of Smartsheet and Sharepoint. SAP desirable but not mandatory;
* Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment;
* Ability to coordinate effectively between departments and with external stakeholders;
* Comfortable working in a warehouse or dispatch centre environment;
* Ability to work both independently and as a team member;
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory tracking;
* Capability of carrying out any other duties as requested.
* Fast paced, high impact working international environment working for a subsidiary of the IOC, a 130-year-old organisation that coordinates the Olympic Games;
* This is a freelance contract from 13 October 2025 until 22 March 2026;
* Full time shift work including evening and weekends;
* Subject to national / international criminal background checks.
