Hug Engineering is your opportunity to apply your skills and ideas, while also making an active contribution to a clean environment.The Finance Controller is involved in the controlling of a plant in order to guarantee and optimise the plant's financial performance and competitiveness.As a Product Mechanical Engineer (f/m/d) based in Turate (Italy) in a global design team, with colleagues in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, and USA, you will be responsible for the design of new or existing products exhaust aftertreatment for diesel and gas engines. In this role you will create complete engineering designs that are translated into CAD models and provide all related documentation in the PDM/ERP system. You will be fully in charge of the product definition ensuring compliance with customer and Hug Engineering standards. In addition you will have to define the product specifications and to ensure the design will fulfill them. Job description:Application work for customer projects, supporting sales and project managementCreation and modification of 3D models and drawingsDefining product specifications as well as leading design review and DFMEAWorking according to internal design guidelinesCommunication with national and international customers and suppliersCreation and maintenance of technical release and modification documents (PDM)Responsibility for product family, for example steel housings for SCR/DPF substrates, diesel burners or urea dosing systemsParticipation in R&D and cost optimization projectsGlobal customer and supplier visitsSupport and training within the global engineering teamYour qualifications: Successfully completed Master studies in mechanical engineering or similar Minimum 3 – 5 years of design/ product development experience preferably in the automotive industry or comparable Knowledge of sheet metal/ steel/ welding fabrication processesExperience with design standards/ guidelines as well as CAD softwareIndependent and proactive way of working as well as the ability to take ownership and to drive the topics Confident communication skills (written, verbal) in English and Italian Positive attitude, team spirit, commitment, and sense of responsibilityInternational thinking and ability to work in a global environment and multicultural teamsWillingness to travel occasionally (< 10%)
