As part of the business expansion in Italy, we are recruiting for the Modena Center a
D EPUTY MANAGER / A SSISTANT TO THE GENERAL MANAGER
Location: Modena
Role
Reporting to the Modena General Manager, t he appointee will:
* Focus on the support, management and development of the M aintenance, C leaning, HSE, R eception and A dministration teams plus external service providers
Set challenging and attainable stretch targets
* Support the Financial Administrator by ensuring financially-viable labour scheduling, by checking and approving for payment staff hours worked, by ensuring financial control and p/l management
Ensure smooth resolution of front-office / client issues, escalating as appropriate
Act as a Duty Manager / Club point of reference for a couple of days per week
Work flexible hours for 5 days over a 7-day week alternating with and deputising for the GM as required
* Recruit, support, develop and manage new team members as required
* L iaise with the Cent er ’s C lients and visitors for customer experience feedback
* C ollaborate with the GM to share ideas, drive initiatives, implement strategies and attain targets
Contribute to and take part in local, national and international improvement projects
Ensure a high level of Customer Service and Customer Experience
* S hare expertise and Best Practice
Contribute to ensuring an optimum working environment
Candidate Profile
* University Degree or High-School leaving certificate
Good English for internal Group communication and training; also to develop a career in the Group
* Similar p eople-management experience from within the services sector; preferably within hospitality, out-of-home, entertainment or sports facilities sectors
Experience from a multi-site, service-based industry welcomed
* Experience from an international group appreciated
Education / Training in sports / sports-management appreciated
Knowledge of the gym / sports environment appreciated
Willing to work flexible hours / shifts
* A ble to understand a p/l and basic financial management
Digitally literate
Customer service and Customer experience focus
* Team player, presentable, self-motivated, well-organised, good communication skills
* Keen to take on increased responsibility as the business expands
