Team Overview and Job responsibilities
We are looking for a BU Continuous Improvement Manager, who will report to the BU Operations VP (BU Transmission – Prysnian) and will be based in Milan HQ, Italy.
The BU Continuous Improvement Manager will manage a team of 5 to 8 people. His main tasks are to deploy and maintain Continuous Improvement programs in the factories reporting to the BU (HV land and Submarine cables), entertain a central support to factories from Process point of view, ensure industrialization process of new lines and/or new products.

Who are we looking for?
The main duties of the role are the following:
Spread continuous Improvement culture and projects within all the factories linked to the BU Transmission.
Promote project improvements, ensure lessons learned and best practice collection and implementation.
In tender phase, support risk analysis and evaluation of mitigation actions.
During execution, support technically the factories on main processes (cable production – Factory Jointing – Electrical testing) to reach production and productivity targets.
Ensure best practices on Process parameters are spread all over the BU to maximize output of the production lines.
Lead training and growing plan of pool of young Process Engineers.
Support actively all continuous improvement projects in the factories.
Ensure monthly reporting of Industrial KPI’s through the BU.
Support Quality team in Root cause Analysis process.
Conduct FMEA analysis for new lines and new processes.
Reinforce industrialization process for new lines and new products
Support Project Managers in dealing with Clients with relation to production matters.
Key requirements:
More than 5 years experience of Continuous Improvement preferably with extrusion process or cabling experience
Mastering continuous improvement tools / methodology and black belt certification
Engineering master’s degree
Strong leadership, team player, open to different cultures.
People management/influencing and organizational skills. Analytical, problem solver.
Proficient in English, written and spoken; other languages will be a plus.
Travel expected: about 50%
