Applied Materials is an American multinational company with more than 34.000 employees based in Santa Clara - Silicon Valley-California.It is the world's leading company in the development of innovative industrial machinery, services and software used in the production of Semiconductors such as Microchips, Flat Display and Solar Cells for Photovoltaics.We are looking for an Software System Engineer to increase the Team of Agrate Brianza (MB-Italy), supporting our Customer managing the software running in our HighTech equipment used for the Microchips production.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:System Software Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution – (Microsoft/Networking/Custom Applications)Analyze reported problems & find issues through log file reviewDevelop & provide troubleshooting plans to discover root causeDeliver rapid resolution on systemic issues & validate solutions on equipmentReport found software bugs which cause issues and can lead to customer dissatisfactionInteract with software development group, provide all necessary information leading to a developed software fixSoftware Installation & ImagingInstall & configure custom software applications on equipment system controllersApply base images to system controllers using applications such as Microsoft DISMDevelop & train team members on software installation proceduresSoftware Test & Validation.Build test plans for implementation of new software releases on production equipmentDocument & perform first of kind installs using simulation for high volume manufacturing equipmentPerform & validate customer scenario testing in simulation environmentSoftware SupportProvide remote & on-site support in the customer’s semiconductor fabrication sitesListen to the customer & local team needs in term of software requirements. Interact with software development group for implementationSupport software activities on tools such as script implementations, anti-virus update, backups, database activities, etc.Support equipment connections to customer network & interaction with automation systemSupport factory automation scenario testing & integration with customerParticipate in product design, testing and documentation reviews as appropriate.
