Advanced Development (AD) is the systematic development of new technologies for the eventual creation of new or next generation products and methodologies. The purpose of Advanced Development is to reduce uncertainties concerning issues about technology, feasibility, time and cost of such magnitude that cannot be handled in product development projects.Within the company Global R&D site, Advanced Product Development Food Preservation team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer who will focus on the application of thermodynamics in refrigerators in order to create innovative efficient appliances to deliver relevant Consumer Experiences, and in line with strategies defined by the CX Food Preservation Board. In detail, you will: •Be responsible to research and develop innovative solutions •Drive development and execution of projects •Ensure that projects deliver results to meet technical targets, deadlines, product and investment costs and satisfy consumer needs •Proactively scout for innovative solutions and technologies that can be applied in refrigeration products with focus on energy efficiency•Contribute to Energy mapping, technology selection and prioritization.•Act as system integrator of technologies and technology modules developed in Advanced Development and guarantees standardization, ensuring proper interfaces with the existing architectures and modules•Ensure a smooth transfer of new modules, systems and functionalities •Supervise the work of other team members and guides the team Qualifications: •University degree in Mechanical Engineering with thermodynamic speciality, Energy Engineering or equivalent•Qualified engineering knowledge of mechanics and thermodynamic applications•Approx. 15 years of experience in a R&D environment, preferably with expertise in Home Appliances refrigeration field•Project management experience & ability to co-ordinate and lead small project teams, as well as acting in a supervisory role providing guidance to team members•Ability to apply theoretical knowledge and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services to derive practical consumer-focused solutions•Strong innovation mindset with new product development, validation and testing skills•Proven track record of successful implementation of technologies/technical solutions into products, generating significant product value and protection through intellectual property; ventured into leading edge technology in partnership with industry (suppliers, Universities, Open Innovation) that provides competitive advantage•Knowledge of 3D Design (CATIA is a merit)•Knowledge of Matlab, Simulink•Fluent English (spoken and written)Where you'll be: You will be based in Electrolux Food Preservation Consumer Experience office in Susegana (TV) only 1 hour distance from Venice.
